Reshoring to Build Your Supply Chain Strategy

Manufacturers are considering relocating production to the US and Europe to achieve supply chain resilience amid disruptions caused by the pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war. While the option may not be the cheapest, reshoring would allow companies to better manage quality, create jobs and transparency across their supply chains, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and improve their ESG scores. The 2022 ISG Smart Manufacturing Survey showed only 33% of European and 24% of US CEOs are confident in their supply chain resiliency. The number of new US manufacturing units has grown 116% in recent years, largely due to reshoring.
